Happy 3 month birthday, Jereth!!
We took Jereth to the the heart doctor yesterday. She feels like Jereth is doing quite well with the feeding tube and the high-flow air. In fact, he is doing so well that she is not going to rush to get his heart surgery done as soon as we had expected. It's looking more like the end of March, hopefully during Spring Break.
This will allow for 12 weeks from the time Jereth had the bronchioscope and supraglottoplasty (cartilage removal from above the voice box) to see how well that procedure improved his airway and allow time for more airway repair if needed.
Since there is another unusual tissue mass below his voice box there may be something that can be done for that. However the only thing available to help the floppy airway (tracheomalacia) near his lungs is time and growth - so we're very grateful he is continuing to grow.
