We moved out of PICU onto the pediatric floor as planned.
I'm getting more comfortable with taking care of the feeding tube and making sure it's in the right place. He will likely stay on the feeding tube until he has the open heart surgery that is needed to fix the holes in his heart.
There is a good chance he has a thyroid problem, too, but we'll need more tests to confirm that diagnosis.
As long as he continues to grow and does not have any other major complications the doctors here plan to send us to either Salt Lake or Portland for the surgery in late January or early February. I'm leaning towards Salt Lake since I have a lot of family there. Roy has a brother in the Portland area, so if there is a good reason to choose Portland we have that option, too.
Roy spent today at home so he could go to parent-teacher conferences for the four grade school children. He said it was a positive conference for each of them - yay! This evening he brought the children and we had Family Home Evening here at the hospital. This little room was pretty crowded with all 10 of us, but it was nice to be together for a few minutes.
