Today has been rather uneventful. We didn't have to return to the hospital for more procedures as we had originally been told because they got everything done on Tuesday.
We just needed to wait to hear from the hospital to know what time to have Jereth there on Thursday and how to prepare him for the surgery (when to quit giving him formula - when to quit giving him clear liquids). When the call came it was with the news that his surgery has been pushed back due to an emergency case with a newborn. He is now supposed to be first on the list for Friday.
Mom and Max were wanting to wait until after Jereth got out of surgery on Thursday to head for California where Max's children are planning a big birthday celebration for Max this Saturday. With the delay they can't wait here and still make it to California in time for the party. Since we'll be here when they get back we encouraged them to leave today so Max's son Jerry who they are traveling with can have more time to plan the party details there and they can enjoy more time with Max's family. We're very grateful for phones that will allow us to be in contact with Mom while they are away.
So we get to wait one more day with nothing much going on and hope the surgery doesn't get pushed back any further.
