Dad and Jereth had a busy day while I was at work today. The insurance company called to set us up with a case worker to follow Jereth's medical needs and work with us to keep costs down for both us and them. Then the home health nurse came for her weekly visit.
Jereth has gained another 7 ounces. He is up to 6 lbs and 10 ounces!!
He is struggling more to breathe, the nurse said his chest retractions (how much his ribs show with each breath) are more severe than last week. She called the doctor's office again about finding a workable medicine for reflux which she feels will help him breathe more easily, but we didn't hear back from them.
She also worked on getting the process completed for Jereth to get the vaccine for RSV. Apparently there is a long and involved process to get that approved and sent so it can be administered.
Tomorrow we meet with the pediatric cardiologist again. She will do another echocardiogram and then we'll have a visit with her. I'm hoping we'll have some idea about the schedule for Jereth's heart surgery after we see her.
